We bought this all-in-one from Costco and were very thrilled using it until we went on vacation and forgot the windows password. Sony recommended we restore the PC to factory settings. After that it was all downhill, first the BD-ROM stopped working, spent 6 hrs with Sony tech support. Applied all Vaio/Windows updates but it still did not work. Sony had someone come to our place with a new BD-ROM, the tech did not know how to remove the BD-ROM and spent several hours trying to pry the back. Anyway he finally figured out that the drive was attached with screws from the side and he replaced it. That seems to have resolved the Blue-ray playback issue. Later found out that Norton family security software was causing freezing of pc, uninstalled that and installed Microsoft essentials and it works great. I would still avoid applying the updates recommended by VAIO CARE software. Touch screen, wireless keyboard, mouse are great. If you buy this all in one – get insurance, I have a feeling it will be needed as this has some great new untested technologies. Overall we are impressed and keeping it for the remaining 30 days of our Costco 90 day return policy. If it keeps running without any issue, it will become permanent fixture of our kitchen. It might be better to go with the $2K model, it comes with more processors, larger drive, remote and HDTV. If Sony improves tech support – this is a winner. Rating: 4 / 5

Great PC in many ways (all-in-one, large screen, touch, blue ray), but I’ve never used a computer with such a loud fan, so I’m returning it. It would probably work best in a noisy environment, where the fan noise was drowned out by other noises, but doesn’t work well in a home, in my opinion. Rating: 2 / 5

I bought this great computer which was advertised as having a 320 Gig Hard Drive. After setting it up,I saw available space as 287 Gig. However the computer is excellent for speed and versatilityI recommend it. Keith Rating: 4 / 5

I bought this for my family for Christmas and they LOVED it! Everyone that came to the house over the holidays could not get over the touch screen capability. After I explained that it had a Blu-ray player and all the other features, they were sold. I had the computer sent to work before Christmas so I would have it ready when my family opened it on Christmas. Three guys in my office bought one for their families after they experienced the computing speed, the clarity of the picture and the touch screen capabilities. We have only had ours for a month but I do not have a single complaint.
This is perfect of a student in a dorm with limited space. It would work great as a television and a computer. I have always been impressed with Sony and Microsoft, but the marriage of their latest products has proved to be a giant leap forward for consumers.
