After enjoyng this monitor for 5 mos the monitor quit one day out of the blue, giving me a flashing blue light that would not turn on or off or reset. After calling customer service they informed me that they would have to exchange the monitor and I would be reciving one in 1-2 weeks, I gave them my credit card number so that the monitor would be drop shipped to my door as the nearest UPS Store is 40 minutes away. Well it was delivered to the UPS Store anyways upon which I was never notified. Four weeks later when I called them and asked where my monitor may be they told me what had happened and said they had recieved the monitor the week before, again with no notification to me. I was told that they would two-day air the monitor to me. They asked for my credit card a second time and after I gave them 4 credit card including two no limit business cards that were declined by them, I had to tell them to just figure it out. The monitor did not come till a week later, I then left on business for 4 days so did not open the monitor until I got back. When I did the monitor was the wrong monitor, not only that but they had the wrong base in the box as well so I couldn’t even use the monitor. I was told by customer service that nothing could be done about this mistake or any of the other mistakes, I had now been without a monitor for 6 weeks. They did tell me they were going to two-day air another monitor and this one would be a new monitor not a refabbed one. That was on August 5th it is now the 13th and I do not have my monitor. This last call offered me no tracking number as the monitor has not even been shipped yet as well as no resolve to make me a happy Samsung customer. In fact the final person that I spoke to in Executive Customer Service basically hung up on me when I expressed my unhappiness in thier ineptitude. Througn no mistakes on my part (besides from buying a Samsung) I have been without a monitor for two months. All the phone calls have lasted at least a half an hour, and while some promises have been made in a half-hearted attempt to resolve the situation none have been followed through on.

This monitor comes with the worse documentation I have ever seen. It took an hour online to find instructions for connecting the monitor to the base. The only instructions that came with the monitor was a simple diagram indicating the connection order and a short sentence saying to dissemble in the reverse order. You have to hold the monitor in a particular way and use tremendous force while tilting it forward. I still have not found detailed information about what the control buttons do. The buttons are out of sight on the right side, so you have to train yourself to manipulate them by feel. After a day of playing around I am not satisfied with the colors in photos. I suspect this monitor is aimed more for gaming.

I like the monitor fine, but part of the ad from Amazon said there was a $20. 00 rebate with this item. I could not find online how to get this rebate. So I called Amazon and they said they would send me a rebate form in the mail and to save the box because I would need the barcode. I have not received anything in the mail relating to this rebate. What happened?

I bought 2 units – confident that since they were Samsungs – what else does one need to know??? I have been very happy with a 19″ Samsung for several years now. Tested the 1st unit – nice trim . . . but looking at the LCD display – displaying web sites – noticed uneven sharpness and brightness over many random areas of the monitor. Now, using a text page – it became even more evident. Quite unacceptable! Didn’t bother opening the 2nd unit . . . returned both units. I give Samsung a ‘zero’ and Amazon a 5 (for a no hassle return practice)! Rating: 1 / 5

Ordered this from Amazon, delivered no problem. Assembled, and yes it is rather difficult puttiing the base on, but with some force it went on fine. Plugged it in, turned it on and it was beautiful. . . except for the line running vertically through the screen, just left of center. With a white background it was yellow, and with a black bacground it was blue. Tried Samsung website, support, troubleshoting, knowledgebase, the works, could not remove it. I even tried connecting it to a different computer and it was still there so I ended up returning it to Amazon (which is a breeze. . . Amazon is great). Everything else about the monitor was nice, but it had one flaw. Rating: 2 / 5
