UPDATE: The very last update from NVIDIA was successful in getting the 3D function to work. So my previous review can be ignored. Though the PNY company doesn’t give you any support for the card, Nvidia does. Also, in Windows 7, an update will come up for the Nvidia HighDefinition driver. If you install it, it will take away the 3D Stereoscopic software function of the card.
PREVIOUS: PNY GeForce 200 GT 220 – Graphics adapter – GF GT 220 – PCI Express 2. 0 x16 – 1 GB DDR2 – DVI, HDMI ( HDCP )he card is ok for pc work, but Nvidia and PNY cannot get the 3D portion of the stereoscopic settings to work. My previous Nvidia GT8500 works perfectly in the 3D settings.

    windows 7 ultimate x64
    4gb ddr2 800mhz
    msi mobo/ amd x2 athlon @3ghz
    windows experience before 2. 1 now 5. 1
Installing is very simple just drop it in and tighten the screw. On windows 7 it automatically downloaded the driver from windows update and didn’t use the cd at all.

Before I was using the onboard graphics and GTA4 could not run at all it was all choppy.

Now The game runs smoothly and I can even use some of the higher settings.

The cool thing is that this card can also accelerate CUDA enabled programs such as coreAVC and SETI@home among others which I have not used as of yet. .

My girlfriend’s Video Card blew up, so I got this card as a quick fix. The old card was a 256MB, so this is a great upgrade and a great price. Upon doing a little research, I found that a few months ago this card used to sell for $130+. The installation was super easy. (It always help to have a larger PC case). I haven’t noticed a huge boost in performance, but she doesn’t play many games. However, it seems to handle day-to-day use just fine. The fan is a little loud, but it’s a rather quiet PC. It’s not unbearable or anything. If you watch a movie or listen to music, it’s not going to bother you. I would recommend this card for anyone who needs a fast mostly inexpensive video card upgrade. I’ve purchased from [. . . ] in the past and they’re always great! Thanks! Rating: 5 / 5

I selected this product because its designed mainly for multimedia. This is smallest punch Nvidia multimedia card that runs a solid performance. Planning on buying two more to complete other multimedia PC’s. No cons so far.

I am using Windows 7, but my computer is in the dark ages, as far as computers go, being four years old, and a 305W power supply. Windows 7 indicated it was not happy with my old video card, and the work around was not adequate, since that video card was considered “legacy”.

I had no problem installing the card, even without the installation disk. I used the installation disk, and it gave a selection for Window 7/Vista 32 bit, and driver installation went smoothly.

When I went to the PNY site for any upgrades, it downloaded what should have been the latest, but wouldn’t install. But I haven’t seen any issues due to it not installing. But the fact it didn’t install, but would have been expected to install is why I gave it 4 stars for performance.

My computer benchmarks for video almost doubled with the card.

My old video card used a heat sink for cooling, and this uses a fan. I do hear a very slight sound of the fan, but not intolerable.

This card seems to be a very good choice for systems that do not have the high end power supplies and need to draw power off the motherboard.
