Do not even think twice about this board if you want to overclock your cpu. This motherboard was designed for overclocking and makes it so easy. . even a Caveman could do it!! Rating: 5 / 5

Great motherboard, dual 16x pcie channels for crossfire, 8x8x8x8 for quad. Overclocks over 4. 1 for black edition Phenom 2's not uncommon. Will have to enter the bios to get 1600mhz memory (ddr3)to run at full speed. Lots of fanboys and support sites for overclocking. I used a beta bios ( bios 1. 5b4) to unlock the 4th core on my 720be (2. 8Ghz) then bumped the core voltage to 1. 48 and set the multiplier to 18. (4x cores at 3. 6Ghz)Rating: 5 / 5

It's a pretty solid MOB, the integrated True Blu Ray Audio system is great. The Over clocking features on it are not so reliable. I'm runing a AMD PhenonII X4 955 and DDR3 8 GBS Dual Channel 1333 MHZ/S. ATI RADEON 4870HDxxx.
Rating: 4 / 5

Full disclosure: I am now on RMA #2 with this product (purchased through another site). I am considering trying the equivalent Asus board next purchased from Amazon. My problems are two-fold with this board. Most notably, the hardware itself has been extremely unreliable. The first board I purchased died after just two days of use (wouldn't power up - and yes, I did test the other components with another board and everything was fine). I received a replacement from MSI THREE WEEKS LATER (!) and the DIMM 1 slot (the first RAM slot for those unfamiliar with the terminology) was dead. Again, all components were tested with another board and working fine. Now I am faced with another sure to be lengthy RMA process and no computer in the meantime (I passed my current one on to a family member). This shoddy hardware has turned me off to MSI for life. On a related note, I've been experiencing some serious freezing issues with Windows 7 and this hardware. XP works fine but after installing Windows 7, freezes occur frequently no matter how much fine-tuning/tweaking I've done to the Cell menu on the motherboard (for those wondering, I've had my memory in the DIMM 2 & 4 slots since the first slot is dead - this could actually be part of the problem, we'll find out when I get another replacement board). That said, with XP in everything is fast and performs well. Note that this is not necessarily completely MSI's fault, but the fact remains that this board is giving users problems when run with Windows 7 (Google "windows 7 freezing" with this product name to see what I mean). I highly recommend avoiding this product. The last computer I built was also using an MSI board but there has been a serious decline in quality since then, apparently. Stick with Asus or possibly Gigabyte products instead. Rating: 2 / 5
