The picture from this camera is so bad I still cannot believe it is a Logitech. Over the bast 10 years or so I have purchased numerous peripherals from Logitec: a mouse, numerous keyboards, etc. and have always found their products to be reliable and dependable. But this camera works so poorly that I can only describe it as a complete ripoff. The still photos are so blurry that if you take a picture of yourself you will be hard pressed to tell who it is. If Amazon had a rating less than 1 star, say negative 2 stars, that would be accurate. The microphone is acceptable but $30 is expensive for a microphone. I have Vista Premium installed on a 7 month old DELL Inspirion and a 1 Gigabite Video card so I don’t think the system could possibly be the problem, just junk sold by what I thought to be a reputable manufacturer. This is my first webcam and I think it works great! Clear picture and it was very easy to install. Great buy for its price! Rating: 5 / 5

I must admit I was looking for a web cam to use with Linux and to be honest there aren’t many. I thought after reading the reviews and checking out the Linux repositories that this web cam would work, but it only works so-so. If you have Linux, which I love, then there are few web cams to choose from that work 100%. I did try this web cam with Windows Vista and it did work, but after about a month of dealing with the problems of connections and intermittent static and picture loss, unrelated to the web cam itself, I decided emailing my friends and family was a lot easier and more reliable then seeing them. By the way I was using Skpe and so were my friends. Sometimes new technology isn’t what it is cracked up to be! Rating: 3 / 5

I helped my brother setup this camera, it was a snap. . It works great with Skype, the audio quality is excellent. The price cannot be beat. Not sure what some others expect from a VOIP application, but this works as expected. 30 frames/sec, 640×480 – Works fine. Rating: 4 / 5

Installed on XP with SP3. Plugged it in and let it search for drivers. Found Logitech E2500 drivers and installed. Then update loaded from Logitech site. Works much better in low light than my 5 year old logitech USB web cam.
