I just recently purchased this c8180 after my hp c6310 had the ink sytem error message Oxc19a0023 and was one month out of warranty and couldnt be repaired even if i offered to pay for the service call. The hp help desk/salesman people advised us to buy a new one and recommended the 8180 and the extended warranty which we purchased for $279. 00total. We used the new 8180 for one day and received the same ink system failure message oxc19a0023. I called hp direct and they suggested that I call the help desk to get this resolved, amazing that they can fix this on the new one,but not on the old one. Sounds to me like they want to sell new products and ink. I refused and demanded that they refund all monies and I would return this peice of junk, which they are doing. I would not buy another h. p. product. I should of learned my lesson with the first h. p. productthanks Rating: 1 / 5

We had this printer for 3 weeks. I had some papers I had to fax. I noticed that the ink was smeared/bleeding on one small part from a damp finger. The paper had been printed for several days. Then it happened to be drizzling when I went to the store to fax. The ink was bleeding all over from just a couple drops. I went home and tested it with small drop of water and it really “bled”. I got a paper that had been printed on our former printer and it did not bleed at all. We returned it and got a Canon MP560. (COSTCO was fantastic about returning with no box; yet we did have receipt. ) I did the “water test” on same paper and some new paper on the new Canon and it was GREAT. . . . . no bleeding of ink. (meaning colored water dripping down the paper and going through to counter) This is a HORRIBLE attribute for a printer.
